Meet the instructor
Hi, I’m Jason.
I help real people make sense of AI.
I teach AI the way I'd explain it to a business owner over coffee. We start with what you're trying to get done, then I show you the shortest way there using tools you already have.
I’ve spent more than 20 years teaching, designing, and simplifying complex digital workflows and systems for organizations like Sun Life, TD, the Ontario Securities Commission, CIBC, Toronto Film School and the University of Toronto. The work I'm proudest of is closer to home, though: helping small businesses in St. Thomas, London, and across Southwestern Ontario use AI on problems they deal with every week.

I don't just teach AI. I use it daily with local businesses through my two agencies, Sparkstartr, a full-service digital marketing agency, and GoodGrow, which specializes in SEO. Every workshop comes out of that work, so the examples you'll see are ones I've used with clients.

What it's like to learn with me
I explain things in the order they make sense, and I'll go over something as many times as it takes. My examples come from local businesses rather than tech company case studies, and since I've worked with both large organizations and one-person shops, there's no such thing as a question that's too basic. I've also been told I'm a pretty chill teacher.
