AI training without the drive to London

Most AI courses around here mean a trip up Highway 4 or a webinar you half-watch while answering email. We run ours at the Atrium, a coworking space at 581 Talbot St in downtown St. Thomas, so owners from Aylmer, Port Stanley, West Lorne, Dutton and Belmont can learn in a room with people who run businesses like theirs. You’ll work on your own laptop with your own email and tasks, and leave with shortcuts you can put to work the same week.

Who comes to our Elgin County workshops

Compare workshops

Our sessions are built for people who’d rather be shown than handed a manual. Most of them fall into one of these groups:

  • Owners and solopreneurs who want help with quotes and customer emails

  • New entrepreneurs, including people in local programs like Starter Company Plus

  • Nonprofits and community organizations with small teams and long to-do lists

Teaching in Elgin County

We’ve run AI workshops for the Elgin & St. Thomas Small Business Enterprise Centre, including sessions for its Starter Company Plus entrepreneurs, and we’re based right here in St. Thomas.

“Jason’s ChatGPT workshop for our Starter Company Plus cohort was both engaging and incredibly practical. By the end, everyone walked away with tangible tips they could start using immediately and a clearer understanding of how ChatGPT can support their businesses.”

Jessica Pietens, Business Advisor, Elgin & St. Thomas Small Business Enterprise Centre

      Four ways to learn

      • Group workshop: $97 or $147 per person. Half a day at the Atrium with other local owners, at a Beginner or Advanced level. New dates are announced monthly.

      • One-on-one session: $497. A half-day at your pace, at the Atrium or online.

      • Custom AI session: $997. A private half-day where we build working AI shortcuts in the tools your business already uses.

      • Team workshop: $1,497 flat for up to 15. We come to your workplace anywhere in Elgin County, with travel included.

When you want more than a workshop

Once you’ve seen what AI can do, the next step is often putting it to work inside the business. We can set up AI to handle a recurring job, like answering common customer questions or drafting quotes, or take a closer look at how your systems fit together before you spend money on new tools.

      What you’ll leave with

By the end of the session, you’ll have:

      1. A clear sense of what AI can and can’t do for a business your size

      2. Prompts that give you usable drafts of emails, quotes and posts

      3. Two or three weekly tasks you can hand to AI right away

      4. A cheat sheet to keep beside your desk

      FAQs

      Where is the Atrium?

It’s a coworking space at 581 Talbot St in downtown St. Thomas, where we run our group workshops and most one-on-one sessions. There’s free street parking nearby, and city parking lots close by too.

Do you come to businesses outside St. Thomas?

Yes. Team workshops can happen at your workplace in Aylmer, Port Stanley, West Lorne or anywhere else in Elgin County, and travel is included at no extra cost.

I’ve never used ChatGPT. Is the Beginner workshop right for me?

Yes. The Beginner session starts with what AI is and how to write your first useful prompt, so all you need to bring is a laptop and your email login.

Do you work with the Small Business Enterprise Centre?

We’ve taught workshops for the Elgin & St. Thomas Small Business Enterprise Centre, and we’re happy to run sessions for other Elgin County organizations and their members.

Which AI tools do you teach?

Most sessions use ChatGPT, since it’s the tool most people start with. If your business runs on Microsoft 365, Copilot is an option, and Claude and NotebookLM versions are also available.

What if I can’t make it after booking?

Group workshop seats are fully refundable up to 48 hours before the session, and one-on-one sessions up to 7 days before.
